Désolée pour le manque de news mais beaucoup de travail et finalement ça va être compliqué de blogger en même temps... Mais je tenterai quand même. L'Open d'Australie a donc commencé hier sous le soleil et la température va encore monter aujourd'hui, ça promet !

Sorry for the lack of news but I'm so busy here it's crazy so it's gonna be tough to blog but I'll try anyway... The Australian Open has started yesterday under a big sun and it seems to get even warmer today so let's get ready ! 

Le tournoi a donc à peine commencé et déjà on a eu de quoi faire avec, pour ma part, deux mentions spéciales : à Bernard Tomic, qui a fait depuis un an des progrès considérables et donc le talent devrait le porter très haut très vite. Hier il a aussi démontré qu'il avait du coeur et un mental de cador en remontant deux sets de retard contre Fernando Verdasco. Deuxième mention spéciale à Rafael Nadal, off court : voler dans les plumes de Roger Federer, se bloquer un genou, gérer la polémique face à la presse avec humour et ah oui accessoirement remporter son premier tour. Le n°2 mondial a fait le show.

So the tournament has just started and we're already with our hands full of material with, as far as I'm concerned, two special mentions : first one goes to Bernard Tomic who has improved so much since a year and whose talent should bring him high very soon. Yesterday he also showed a lot of heart and mental strength with the way he came back from two sets down against Fernando Verdasco. The second special mention goes to Rafael Nadal, off court : getting at Roger Federer's throat, injuring his right knee, dealing with the controversy during the presser with humor and ah yes also managing to win his first round. The n°2 in the world made the show.

Et quoi qu'on en dise, je suis persuadée que sa sortie contre Federer - qu'il ne regrette pas - laissera des traces. 2011 a marqué une nouvelle ère, 2012 semble partie pour poursuivre ce tournant. Que l'on approuve ou réprouve les propos de l'Espagnol, il a eu le mérite de la sincérité et on est enfin sorti de bisounours land ce qui est tout de même beaucoup plus fun. Federer a dédramatisé mais il a quand même semblé surpris de la réaction de son meilleur ennemi qu'il n'avait pas vu venir tant il est vrai que Nadal mord rarement. La colère et l'exaspération de Rafa pourrait être un indicateur sur la gronde qui monte dans les rangs, et Federer - président du conseil des joueurs - serait bien inspiré de tendre l'oreille. Je suis certaine que c'est désormais le cas.

And whatever one may think, I'm sure that his angry words on Federer - that he has no regret for - will leave traces. 2011 saw a new era starting and 2012 seems to go on in this changing mood on ATP. Approving or not what Nadal said, he was sincere and it has to be appreciated. We're finally out of this fairytale of the BFF for ever and it's way more entertaining. Federer played down the quarrel but he looked very surprised by the reaction of his best enemy on the court. No wonder he was, because Rafa rarely bites. Nadal's frustration and anger should be a good sign of what's going on among lots of players so maybe Federer - president of the players council - should start to listening to this with care. I'm sure he now does.
